If you did no...I'm glad you posted this, Gretchen. If you did not catch the Saddleback interview, you can actually watch the whole thing on CNN.com. Both candidates were long-winded in various ways (they ARE politicians after all), so reading it might be more of a chore than it would be informative. Side-note, McCain's answers were shorter on enough questions that Warren was able to squeeze in a few that Obama didn't have time to answer. Anyway, I agree that there's no super-exciting choice this election. I, too, wish that regular guy with good answers would run...Pax, Ash and Noellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07646766243846859845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1687244338559776716.post-47812550586043439082008-08-21T09:15:00.000-06:002008-08-21T09:15:00.000-06:00Correction---I should not have called Obaman (oh, ...Correction---I should not have called Obaman (oh, I just gave away who I'm not voting for) a murderer. I have no idea if he's murdered anyone or not but he does support murder in the guise of a women's choice.

Okay, I feel better for clearing that up.

Oh, and yes, there's been more perverse supporters of murder leading our country and I think that's why we are where we are today.Denisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11379515910965450193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1687244338559776716.post-49414032202668598642008-08-20T20:50:00.000-06:002008-08-20T20:50:00.000-06:00As of yet I have not seen the debate at Saddleback...As of yet I have not seen the debate at Saddleback but I do know who I am not voting for.

I will admit I am simple minded but I cannot stand before my God when He chooses to take me home and say that I supported a murderer of His innocent children.

I cannot stand before my God when He chooses to take me home and say that I supported a man who supported perversion and denied God's plan of one man and one woman. Nope, can't do that.

Call me simple minded but I don't believe a perverse murderer can successfully lead our country. So, guess who I'm not voting for.Denisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11379515910965450193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1687244338559776716.post-54811229150890599782008-08-18T14:28:00.000-06:002008-08-18T14:28:00.000-06:00Did you catch the CNN broadcast on Saturday night ...Did you catch the CNN broadcast on Saturday night of the candidates talking with Rick Warren at Saddleback Church? Here is a link to the transcripts:
http://rickwarrennews.com/transcript/
Matt and I taped it and watched it yesterday. I agreed with a lot of Obama's ideas (surprise, surprise), but I know that the big issue for most Christians is the abortion issue, which is a hard one.
I liked how Obama thoughtfully responded to each of Rick Warren's questions while McCain just gave quick, pat answers and then just told a million L-O-N-G stories.
I agree that neither of them are excellent choices, though!Honeycutt Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00684682447954778718noreply@blogger.com
