More Hawaii Pictures

Pictures

Me, with a baby pineapple at the Dole plantation Mom at the "Swap Meet". We did a bunch of shopping! View from our patio at the hotel Sunset on the beach Here are a few pictures of the first part of our trip. We have been enjoying a lot of time in the sun. I did't take any pictures of that because no one wants to see me in my swim suit right now, it isn't pretty.

Aloha from Waikiki

We made it! Wednesday we went down to Pueblo to drop off the girls and Friday morning we left snowy Denver for sunny Hawaii. I remembered how much I hate long flights, especially while pregnant. I feel like I pee every 10 minuites. Last night we made it in time for the evening show. We had a quick bite and were in bed by 9. A 4 hour time change and day of travel can really take it out of you. Today we enjoyed breakfast overlooking the ocean before Matt had to catch a flight for Japan. Mom and I spent the day by the pool. We are now back at our room, showering and getting ready for a stroll and some dinner. I hear things back at home are going less smoothly. Addilyn has pink eye and an ear infection and Elie is fighting a off another infection of her own. It kills me to be away from them when they are sick, but I know Nana has got it all covered. It always suprises me how much I miss the girls when we are away.

Facebook

Facebook is a strange phenomenon. It is a world in and of itself, where people you knew years ago, and haven't thought of since, drift in and out of your range of view.I now know what some of my former high school classmates at for lunch today. I have "friends" on there that were never really friends in my life, just people who paths I crossed. I have found some people I really enjoy and some long lost acquaintances. It is novel and kills obscene amounts of time. Recently I stumbled across a picture of someone who I used to be pretty good friends with. It was late and I was getting ready for bed after a long day, but I am pretty sure I put in a "friend request" with her. Several days later I hadn't really heard anything so I went back and checked. Either my request had been denied or I hadn't actually hit "friend request" so I typed up a little note and requested her as a friend, again. I have now been denied twice. Weird. Today bible study tal

Weekend

We had a nice weekend, didn't really do much. We took my dad out on Sunday night (without kids!) for his 60th birthday. Here is a pic of the cake I made him, it turned out really cute. Elie found a worm. She named it "Susie Wormie". She loved it to death. Literally. She now wants to name the new baby Susie. Should I be worried? I asked what she would call the baby if it was a boy and she replied, some what exasperatedly "Mama, the baby can't be a boy, Susie is a GIRLS name!". Duh.

April Fools!

I am so sad I only "got" 3 of you! Did you all notice that there were 2 babies in my ticker to the left yesterday? Congrats to Nancy, Jen M., and my mom, who all got nervous on my behalf. Happy April fools day!
